RECOMMENDATIONS

Creative Forum presents it recommendations to how public investments in creative growth on a long term basis can generate approximately 3,700 new jobs in Copenhagen within 2020. The public investments themselves only have a little effect on the job generation, but ensures the basis for private investments which generate the main part of the new jobs. Of these new jobs about 2,700 of them are within the creative industries, 500 are within other industries and yet another 500 are generated by attracting international companies. Furthermore an implementation of the recommendations from Creative Forum is expected to generate savings for the City of Copenhagen of about 10 mio. DKK per year in terms of public purchases. Also, an implementation will expectedly increase the financial means the City of Copenhagen uses on development activities for the creative industries from 7 mio. DKK to 14 mio. DKK per year through attracting new financial means.

Release of the great growth potential existing in the creative industries in Copenhagen will support the City of Copenhagen's overall growth targets of 5 % annual growth in GDP, 4 % annual growth in productivity, 8,5 % growth ni population, 20.000 new private jobs, more companies with international ambitions and attraction of international head quarters - all within 2020.
